Sorry for the newb question. I am trying to determine the kernel version of Jessie. Uname -r produces: 3.16.0-4-amd64
I have seen other references to 3.16.7 however, and I know 3.16.7 was the latest 3.16.x. Is 3.16.0-4 really the equivalent of 3.16.7? either way can someone explain to me how I would go about verifying without having to ask =).
Have a look at
/usr/share/doc/linux-image-3.16.0-4-amd64/changelog.Debian.gz
to get the exact version.
