Sorry, the previous message was sent before complete.

The question I was asking for was:

Is there any frontend or GUI for FLAC in Debian GNU/Linux?

Thanks.

KDE has KAudioCreator and there is also Grip. I'm not sure if they will work
with flac out of the box but they can be configured to use flac.

On my Etch install Grip rips to a .wav format and encodes as an .ogg
file. The encode tab allows you to configure different encoders to
use, flac is one. Grip works well easy to setup and use, defaults work
as is for some.

Personally I use Jack. However does anyone know if there is a front end
out there that will rip a track and use multiple encoders before
removing the wav? The more I think of ripping my CDs the more I want 3
formats.

FLAC - For archival purposes.
OGG - High-bit for playing on my computer or through my stereo with a
set-top media player.
MP3 - Low-bit for my portable MP3 player.

Of course if I could find a portable OGG player that would drop to 2 but
still, that's more than what most do right now. Hmmm, might have to
hack Jack, it is in Python. Hmmmm...
